The ICC says India were ruled four overs short and West Indies two overs short after time allowances were considered. Both captains accepted the sanctions.
The final ODI also ended with a notable West Indies win: Shai Hope made an unbeaten 162 as the visitors successfully chased 352, their highest successful chase in men's ODIs.
